History
Born as a Muslim nation through the 1947 partition of British India.
Experienced Indo-Pakistani wars and domestic coups immediately after independence, with East Pakistan separating as Bangladesh in 1971. Conducted nuclear tests in 1998 becoming a nuclear power. Since 2000s, has advanced economic reforms parallel to counterterrorism and democratization, with civilian transition continuing from 2013 onward. Under all-weather strategic partnership with China, aims to become international logistics hub through port, road, and energy infrastructure development.
