  • Use the right hand in principle for eating and giving or receiving items
  • Bring sweets or other small gifts when visiting homes
  • Confirm with the host whether to remove shoes
  • Check the other person's willingness before offering a handshake to women
  • Refrain from eating, drinking, and smoking in public during Ramadan
  • Photography is strictly prohibited at military facilities and checkpoints
  • Delays of approximately 15–30 minutes are within the acceptable range for appointments
  • Accepting offered tea or coffee during negotiations is polite; do not refuse
  • Be modest with intimate physical contact in public
