Etiquette
- Avoid topics of religion and politics in public as a safe practice
- Use the right hand in principle for eating and giving or receiving items
- Bring sweets or other small gifts when visiting homes
- Confirm with the host whether to remove shoes
- Check the other person's willingness before offering a handshake to women
- Refrain from eating, drinking, and smoking in public during Ramadan
- Photography is strictly prohibited at military facilities and checkpoints
- Delays of approximately 15–30 minutes are within the acceptable range for appointments
- Accepting offered tea or coffee during negotiations is polite; do not refuse
- Be modest with intimate physical contact in public
