Etiquette
- Remove shoes and dress modestly at temples
- Women must not touch monks
- Patting heads is considered rude
- The left hand is considered unclean; use the right hand for giving or receiving
- Use an open palm facing down to point rather than pointing with a finger
- Do not step on the threshold when entering a house
- Greet elders with respectful language and a slight nopa
- Avoid loud arguments in public places
- Do not point the soles of your feet at people
