- Remove hats and sunglasses in traditional meeting houses (maneaba)
- Stepping over someone''s head or touching heads is taboo
- Always ask permission before taking photographs
- Use the right hand for eating; avoid passing objects with left hand alone
- Frigatebirds and coconut palms are important resources; avoid overharvesting or cutting
- Strong sunlight requires constant use of hats and hydration
