- Strictly observe speed limits in residential areas; some rural roads have no limits
- Show respect by not confusing the Isle of Man flag with the British flag
- Avoid loud conversations and camera flashes in churches and historic sites
- Keep distance from wildlife (seals, etc.) and do not feed them
- Smoking is banned indoors; use designated outdoor areas only
- Cash is pounds only; euros and US dollars are not accepted in most shops
