History
Unified in 10th century, expanded as Viking nation in Middle Ages. Modern development through North Sea oil development and establishment of welfare state model.
Rose during Viking era through maritime trade, leading the Kalmar Union in 1397. After losing territories in 19th-century Schleswig Wars, transformed into constitutional state through constitution. After World War II, joined NATO and European integration, becoming EC member in 1973. Developed North Sea oil fields following energy crisis, strengthening international competitiveness in wind and IT sectors from 1990s onward. Continuing to present day based on high social solidarity and democracy.
